PSIA Practices

District competition will be held in Weimar

 on Saturday, March 27.

State Meet is May 1 at TCU in Fort Worth.

· Poetry Interpretation practice for grades 4-8 will be every Thursday 3:30-4:30 with Mrs. Fogle.

· PSIA Maps, Graphs, and Charts practice Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 with Mrs. Fogle. Tryouts will be Feb. 2.

· Dictionary Skills 6th - 8th & Vocabulary 5th - 8th will be 7:15-7:45 on Wednesday with Mrs. Spradlin.       

· Ready Writing 5th-8th will be on Thursday 7:15-7:45  with Mrs. Spradlin.

· Written Math 4/5 will be on Friday 7-7:45 a.m. with Ms. Venghaus

· Number Sense 4/5 will be on Thursday 7-7:45 a.m. with Ms. Venghaus

· Number Sense 6th-8th will be on Tuesday mornings 7:15-7:45 with Mrs. Kunz.

· Mathematics and Calculator Applications 6th-8th will be on Wednesday mornings 7:15-7:45 with Mrs. Kunz

· Spelling Practice with Ms. Schimcek 2nd & 3rd Grade Monday 3:45-4:30; Wednesday 7:20-7:45. 4th & 5th grade Tuesday 7:20-7:45; Wednesday 3:35-4:30.  Grades 6,7,8 Thursday 3:35-4:30. 

· Listening Skills with Mrs. Raphael grades 4-8 Monday 3:45-4:15

· Music Memory with Mrs. Stoever Monday 3:30-4:30

· On Site Drawing with Coach Zaruba grades 6-8 Wednesday 3:45-4:15

· Dictionary Skills grade 4 & 5 with Mrs. Thompson/ Hermes Thursday 3:45-4:15

· Art Memory with Mrs. Ranly will be Tuesday 3:45-4:15

· Creative Writing with Mrs. Wick 11:50-12:30 on Wed. grades 2 & 3

Cardinal Athletics

The St. Rose Track Team participated in the Sacred Heart Track Meet in Hallettsville this past weekend, taking 6^th place overall in a field of 12 schools.  There were many 4^th graders who participated and did very well.  Many athletes were not able to participate due to the Schulenburg Stock Show and I am proud of the Cardinals accomplishments with the limited number of athletes.  We will participate in the St. Michael Track Meet in Weimar this Saturday March 6^th.
